Wobbly Bottom Farm – 25th September 2010
Finally managed to meet up with ‘Bakerboy’ (Terry) from the Pigeon Watch Forum. He scared the living daylights out of Joseph and I when we pulled up at the farm gate and he was stood there, head to toe in camo.
After a few minutes safety chat and a little bit on Pigeon flight lines, he soon had us set-up in a pre-prepared hide. It wasn’t long before the odd Pigeon flew past and, lucky for me, I managed to get one reasonably quickly. With the pressure off I could relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
There was a light, but steady stream of birds passing over or by. Most I missed but I managed to hit enough to feel reasonably pleased with myself. It made my day when Joseph hit a Pigeon with the borrowed 12g semi-auto.
Took a few photos, and Terry suggested sending one in to BASC young shots for possible publication in their magazine.
Many thanks to Terry; Joseph and I had a great day.
Bag for the day
